Building Banners

Big enough to be
seen from the road.

An XXL building banner is a single-piece vinyl banner large enough to cover a section of an industrial building, typically 10' x 20' up to 48' x 80'. Seed Media prints them on 13oz or 15oz heavy vinyl with UV coating rated for outdoor use. They are finished with pole pockets to install, with optional engineered mounting. A 30' x 50' costs approximately $3,750 and only takes 2 weeks to ship out. We have produced these for more than 70 industrial plants since 2010.

Scale

Our largest is bigger than the majority of our industry leaders' maximum

In February 2025 we printed three banners at 48' x 80' for Nucor Steel Indiana. 3,840 square feet each. More than 11,000 square feet in one order.

Most safety banner suppliers list 10' x 20' as a standard ceiling and treat anything larger as a special request. Building-scale work is what we do every week.

Materials and finishing

13oz heavy vinyl

The standard for building installations. Reinforced, outdoor grade, and what we recommend unless there is a reason not to.

15oz hurricane vinyl

For high wind and seasonal heavy storms, the extra durability of our hurricane vinyl will not disappoint.

7oz lightweight

Where weight matters or the banner is seasonal. Same print quality, less load on the structure.

Mesh

High-wind elevations and fence lines. Perforations let air through instead of tearing grommets out. A great option for parking garage openings, branding, or covering construction.

UV coating is included, not an upsell. Rated two years minimum against fading. In practice a correctly tensioned banner on a typical elevation looks good for three to four years.

Questions

How much does a large safety banner cost?

Our building banners start at approximately $800 for a 10' x 20'. The larger building banners size 30' x 50' costs approximately $3,750. Larger banners cost less per square foot because setup is a smaller share of the job. Prices include pole pockets for installation on a frame system.

What size building banner do I need?

Judge by viewing distance. A 30' x 50' reads clearly across a plant yard. Send a photograph of the building with rough dimensions and we will tell you what will look right.

How long does a custom safety banner take?

Custom artwork for a safety banner is delivered within 1-2 business days. Family collage banners can take much longer due to the photo collection process and detail involved in coordinating 100+ photos together.

Production is typically 7-10 business days for all of our vinyl banner products, but rush turnaround is often available.

What material are industrial safety banners printed on?

Standard for outdoor use is our 13 oz. heavy vinyl. We also have a 7 oz. lightweight vinyl available upon request that is suitable for indoors or short-term use outdoors. Mesh vinyl, with wind perforations, suits high-wind elevations and fence lines. All are digitally printed with a UV coating.

How do I hang a banner on a metal building?

For large building banners, customers typically use our vinyl tension bracket system. Brackets are installed every 3 to 4 feet around the perimeter and connect to gripper bars inside the banner's pole pockets. The banner is then tensioned on all sides for a smooth, taut, professional appearance.

For smaller building banners, our Invisible Frame kit is another great option. It keeps the banner tight while hiding the mounting hardware for a cleaner finished look.

Both systems are reusable, making it easy to update your graphics in the future. Anchoring hardware should be selected by your maintenance team based on the building's wall construction.
